Looking to help Ukraine directly? Use www.u24.gov.ua - UNITED24 was launched by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy as the main venue for collecting charitable donations in support of Ukraine. Funds will be transferred to the official accounts of the National Bank of Ukraine and allocated by assigned ministries to cover the most pressing needs: defense and demining, medical aid, and rebuilding Ukraine.
Ukrainians of all ages, who have been forced to relocate to a foreign country because of the Russian aggression or who are about to relocate, can apply.
From zero to advanced. We will do our best to find you a tutor that matches your level.
You don't need to know any other language. However, the pool of tutors who speak the foreign language and Ukrainian/Russian is smaller so it may take longer to find a match in this case.
Both options are available. In the registration form please indicate whether you would like to have 1-on-1 lessons or you are open to group lessons.
Yes, we are working with tutors who want to teach on a volunteer basis.
They are volunteers with different backgrounds who are willing to teach Ukrainian a foreign language. Tutors might have or not have prior tutoring experience. Before we recruit a tutor we conduct an interview with each of them.
If you have problems with your tutor, please reach out to us and we would be happy to assist you to find a replacement.
We recommend conducting classes online using Zoom, Skype or another platform at your discretion.
Please determine how often you would like to meet with a tutor, according to your needs and availability. Classes can be held from 1-2 times per week to 3-5. We will try to find the tutor most suitable for your needs.
Once the match is made we will send you an email and then we introduce you to a tutor in Slack. There will be a private chat only for you and your tutor where you will be able to communicate.
When we introduce you to a tutor we help you organize and jumpstart your lesson. After that you communicate directly with the tutor, agree on a schedule, and a platform you will use. And if you have any questions you are welcome to reach out to us directly in Slack or via email.
We will try to find a tutor for you as soon as possible. Most of the times it takes between 1-7 days to find a match.
